W1+ W2 + W3+ W4= House

Today we finally got to finish the 4 walls to our hut along with the rafters being done. For the first time our hut actually looked like what we had intended it to look like. We decided to work the exit into the rafters so that there is an 8 foot opening making sure there will be no obstruction for the skiers as they leave the hut. We did this by extending the studs to the walls right into the rafters by aligning the angles with each other making them flush to one another. We started earlier today which turned out to be good because the rain moved in later on in the afternoon making it quite wet. Tomorrow we hope to put the cross ties in the rafters in order to make the structure more rigid. We also hope to start on the roofing so that we can prepare to put the shingles on very soon. Tomorrow will be another early day after working 8-2 today.
