Undercover

Today was yet again another productive day. Seems as though we have had a lot of those lately. However, we were able to work under the blue skies, with the bugs of course, but finish the rafter ties which was our main goal. We were also able to finish the main support for the roof where the shingles will lie. This was a quite difficult and tedious process because all the boards needed to be straight and line up perfectly. Therefore we needed to make many accurate measurements so that all the pieces would line up. Each side of the roof took us almost 2 hours to do however, once we got the hang of it things sped up very quickly. Our next goal is to start on the siding and eventually move into the shingles which will bring us even closer to the ultimate goal. We worked 8:30- 1:30 today bringing us to 50hrs. worked total on the project so far. We are heading back up tomorrow to start early in the morning to get some work done before sports.
